LISTINGComing October 30th: Queens of the Stone Age’s ninth album, Perfecth, available on standard black vinyl, CD, and as a limited transparent vinyl edition exclusive to participating independent retailers. Perfecth arrives at a moment of hard-won clarity for the band. The record’s nine songs map different forms of love: of family, friends, and others. The loves that break you and the loves that bring you back. The music is fearless and boundless, moody and menacing, gentle and strange. “Insignificant Other” is the album’s centerpiece – sprawling, loose, and supernatural. “Mono” captures the headspinning feeling of heartbreak with a mix that slips seamlessly from mono to stereo and from claustrophobia to widescreen orchestral grandeur. The band remains enduringly, singularly magnetic. It’s art that snarls and seduces in equal measure.
The Oak Ridge Boys are paying tribute to their favorite songs without losing sight of their gospel roots in a stunning and inspiring new album, Buried Treasures.
Produced by Anderson East and executive produced by Dave Cobb, Buried Treasures gathers together classic songs made popular by seminal voices such as Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole, as well as essential songs written by Billy Joe Shaver, Paul Simon, and Bill Withers. The vocal group’s spiritual side shines through on recordings of “Deep River,” “How Great Thou Art,” and “Softly and Tenderly,” yet there’s also a hint of romance in the enduring ballad, “You Are So Beautiful.” The album’s only new song, “Buried Treasure,” was written specifically for the project by Academy Award-winning songwriter Aaron Raitiere.
“Every song on the album is about something that’s dear to us,” Oaks member Duane Allen says.
Heather Nova releases her new album, “The Orchard,” on V2 Records in October 2026. The Orchard is a beautiful collection of songs; strong in melody and rich in poetic imagery, that dives deep emotionally. But the overriding feeling on this album is one of hope and light and possibility—just what we need in these troubled times.
The album was recorded in London over the course of 6 weeks last winter with producer Tim Bran, known for the sound he’d gotten with HAEVN and London Grammar. Predominantly made with just Tim and Heather throwing ideas back and forth, the production is authentic and natural but also contemporary.

The Tiberi Tapes opens a door long-whispered about among Coltrane fans: intimate, previously-unheard live recordings made by saxophonist Frank Tiberi as he followed John Coltrane through Philadelphia and New York clubs in the early 1960s. Captured on modest reel-to-reel equipment, these performances trade polish for presence, placing the listener close to the bandstand as Coltrane and his bandmates test, stretch and transform the music in real time. The sound bears the immediacy of its origins: raw, direct and alive with discovery.
For Tiberi, these tapes were study materials, a private archive of harmonic information and musical inspiration. More than sixty years later, they emerge as something larger: a vital chapter in the Coltrane story, preserving the feeling, risk and relentless searching that made the bandstand his truest laboratory. Heard now, the music feels not archival but immediate, a living document of curiosity, discipline and ecstatic momentum.

Across his rollicking new LP Big Jefe, Jack Blocker fully embraces the rough-edged Americana spirit that’s called to him from the start. The 27-year-old singer-songwriter muses on nights out drinking, making mistakes, and life on the road across the project’s eleven tracks. Blocker didn’t set out to make a concept album. During his first winter in Nashville, he started writing a new tune over a few pours of whiskey – one that made him chuckle and feel excited about songwriting again. The song became “Big Jefe,” Blocker’s first ever single that tells the tale of a reckless, drunken miscreant named Jefe, released in 2023. He started dreaming up a world around that story, inspired in part by Willie Nelson’s 1975 concept album Red Headed Stranger, as well as country singer-songwriters like Marty Robbins and Townes Van Zandt.
Produced by Patrick Lyons (Colter Wall, Noeline Hofmann), Big Jefe is about transformation. It’s a story about a drifter – a broke drunkard searching for purpose. Drawn into the drug trade out of perceived necessity, he chases opportunity and transforms a struggle for survival into an unlikely rise to power as Big Jefe.
The Fretliners are a band defined by their songwriting—stories carried by powerful harmonies, dynamic arrangements, and a sound that feels both timeless and new. Their music leans into the tradition of acoustic string instruments but reaches well beyond genre, resonating with listeners through honesty and craft. In 2023, they swept both the Telluride Bluegrass and RockyGrass band competitions—an achievement matched only once before. That fall, their debut self-titled album earned widespread acclaim, praised for its originality and heartfelt lyricism. With songs that balance tradition and innovation, The Fretliners continue to chart a bold path forward, creating music that connects as deeply on record as it does on stage.

Diamonds is the second in a series of albums featuring unknown recordings by Waylon Jennings that his son Shooter Jennings recently unearthed. Compared to Songbird, it’s a higher energy album, a “younger man’s” album, where the tracks all share stories about the rollercoaster of relationships and unrequited love.
Shooter shared the first installment of newly uncovered songs last year with Songbird, which was met by widespread acclaim from such publications as NY Times, the Tennessean, Rolling Stone, Consequence of Sound, Billboard, Stereogum, Variety, American Songwriter, Parade, Whiskey Riff, Holler Country and many more.
Physical copies (CD’s, LP’s, Cassettes) and downloads of Diamonds will be available on November 13, and the album will be available to stream on all digital platforms starting December 11 via Son of Jessi/Thirty Tigers.
Each of these songs are a commentary on being human and wanting connection. There is a lot of chaos all around us and I definitely find myself feeling alone. My wish is that whoever hears these songs feels the hope I feel when I sing them!
I hope these songs feel like a soothing moisturizer on our chapped hearts. We are all going through so much in our humanity right now that being awake can feel like trudging through a burning desert. But we are never alone. And there is beauty everywhere. We just have to keep our eyes open.
I find I go to songwriting these days to make sense of what is going on inside and all around me. So much chaos but a ton of hope and love to share.
These songs were all born of the experience of living in this moment. There is so much chaos and information coming at us that it can feel overwhelming and paralyzing. My hope is that when you hear these songs, you feel that this is only of a moment and that life is a beautiful gift worth sharing.

Teddy Swims returns with his most personal album to date, UGLY, out January 22, 2027, featuring singles “Mr. Know It All” and “Perfect Man.”
Following the global success of I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy, Swims turns the mirror inward. Written across a transformative year and a half, UGLY finds him confronting the parts of himself that are harder to face - unraveling old patterns, questioning long-held beliefs, and reckoning with the stories we tell ourselves about who we’re supposed to be.
At its core, UGLY reframes what it means to heal. Growth isn’t about making the struggle beautiful or finding an easy way through it. It’s about facing what’s uncomfortable, giving yourself grace while having accountability, and unlearning the things that keep you from moving forward. UGLY is Teddy at his most vulnerable and self-aware - finding strength not in perfection, but in finally embracing the parts of himself he once tried to hide.

22, A Million is a record of dualities. First released in 2016, Bon Iver's third album found Justin Vernon reckoning with pain and love, suffering and redemption, omens and happenstance. Such ambiguity is the core of how Justin composes words: there are always two ways to see something. Inside a fragmented language of symbols and numbers is a sonic distillation of past years of turbulence and how to recover.
Across ten songs, 22, A Million shattered expectations of what a Bon Iver record could be. Through different groups of friends—close, passing, new, old—he began to assemble proto-melodies, vague textures and specific moods from hundreds of hours of recorded improvisations. Songs like “22 (OVER S∞∞N),” “33 ‘GOD’,” “715 - CRΣΣKS” and “8 (circle)” traded familiar structures for fractured electronics, pitch-shifted vocals and dense layers of sound. What initially felt like a radical departure has since become one of the most influential and enduring works in Bon Iver’s catalog.
2026 marks the ten-year anniversary of 22, A Million. To celebrate, Bon Iver and Jagjaguwar will release a deluxe anniversary edition pressed on Frosted Silver vinyl, featuring new alternative artwork with soft-touch finish and spot UV gloss detailing. The package will include the original 28-page lyric booklet, represented here in 3x silver inks, with an additional 12-page full-color inlay booklet documenting the album’s creative process through previously unseen artwork and an essay penned by Eric Timothy Carlson. The Brooklyn-based artist’s visual work has shaped the Bon Iver world since 22, A Million and his visual language has become inseparable from the album itself. A custom 12-panel ‘inverted cross’ CD edition will also be available.

The Mars Volta announces their latest album, Lucro Sucio; Unfinished Business, which marks their first official live release since 2005’s Scabdates.
Far from a straightforward live performance of their most recent studio album, Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos del Vacío, this new release is a deep reinterpretation of the source material with an added twist: the band’s invitation for fans to participate in the album-making process.
The project began with a cryptic countdown timer on The Mars Volta’s official website, which revealed an interactive voting mechanism allowing fans to choose which live performances would make the cut. Each track was represented by a cryptic symbol corresponding to the city where the performance was recorded during the band’s acclaimed fall 2025 tour.
Lucro Sucio; Unfinished Business will be available as a CD Digipak, Red 2LP, and Digital Album enhanced with Dolby Atmos.
Ask Mitski Miyawaki about happiness and she'll warn you: “Happiness fucks you.” It's a lesson that's been writ large into her gritty, outsider songwriting for years, but never so powerfully as on her 2016 album, Puberty 2. “Happiness is up, sadness is down, but one's almost more destructive than the other,” she says. “When you realize you can't have one without the other, it's possible to spend periods of happiness just waiting for that other wave.” On Puberty 2, that tension is palpable: a beautiful and brutal romantic hinterland, in which one of modern music’s defining voices came fully into focus.
2026 marks the ten-year anniversary of that landmark album, whose tracklist contains fan favorites “Your Best American Girl” and “I Bet on Losing Dogs.” To celebrate the occasion, Mitski and Dead Oceans will release a limited-edition reissue of Puberty 2 on Forest Shadow vinyl, due for release on October 30, 2026. Puberty 2 will also be celebrated with a digital deluxe version, featuring bonus tracks from the original Japanese CD — longtime fan favorite covers of “Fireproof” by One Direction and “I’m a Fool to Want You” by Frank Sinatra.

From 1997 to 2007, The Blood Brothers’ “molotov mixture of suburb surrealism and sonic extremity” (Alternative Press, 2003) rocked and riveted critics and fans around the world. Formed in the suburbs of Seattle, the dueling singers Johnny Whitney and Jordan Blilie along with Cody Votolato (guitar), Morgan Henderson (bass) and Mark Gajadhar (drums) crafted a unique style of convulsive, ground breaking hardcore that was quickly embraced by critics and fans of punk, hardcore and indie rock.
Over their ten years in existence the quintet released five critically acclaimed studio albums including Burn, Piano Island, Burn, “the most prolific, beautiful, and vital statement of rock since the Stooges’ Raw Power” (PopMatters, 2003), Crimes, the sturdiest bridge between the hardcore underground and indie-rock elitists” (Alternative Press, 2004) and “one of the best of 2006” (PopMatters, 2006), Young Machetes.

At the height of grunge, Morphine sounded like nobody else. The Boston trio built their own strange, seductive musical language from Mark Sandman’s two-string bass and unmistakable baritone, Dana Colley’s saxophone and a stripped-back rhythm section, drawing as much from jazz and blues as rock. They became one of the defining cult bands of the ’90s, but their story came to an abrupt end in 1999, when Sandman suffered a fatal heart attack on stage during a concert in Italy.
More than 25 years later, Cocoon offers an extraordinary final chapter. Its eight songs were recorded during Morphine’s late-’90s sessions before Sandman ultimately shelved the material on the path toward what would become their final album. Rediscovered in the band’s archives decades later, Sandman’s life partner and Morphine estate manager Sabine Hrechdakian and producer Paul Q. Kolderie (Radiohead, Pixies) transferred the original tapes and carefully assembled this unified collection of Morphine songs. Dana Colley returned to add new saxophone parts, and Kolderie then brought new mixes to the table. Rather than a collection of demos or outtakes, Cocoon is a fully realized Morphine album revealing a band still pushing forward that somehow waited nearly three decades to find its way into the world.
The original double album of Pinegrove tracks from 2010-2015, now updated with a third LP of 8 unreleased recordings from that time period. Includes new artwork along with the original 12x12 16 page full color booklet.

"The songs are a mix of thoughts and feelings,” Gabriel says. “I have been thinking about the future and how we might respond to it. We are sliding into a period of transition like no other, most likely triggered in three waves: AI, quantum computing, and the brain computer interface. Artists have a role to look into the mists and, when they catch sight of something, to hold up a mirror. “We are not, and have never been, the exclusively self-determining, independent beings that we imagine we are. We have had a sense of entitlement that everything exists for our benefit - that we’ve been given the run of the world to exploit as we see fit.”
“We are something else, a part of nature, a part of everything and when we feel that connection, shake our booty and give and receive some love, it can help us find our proper place - and put a big smile on our faces.”
“This is how I see the lumpy bits – i/o: the inside has a new way out and o\i: the outside has a new way in.”
Written and produced by Peter Gabriel and, mostly, recorded at Real World Studios, his studio near Bath, England, the album features contributions from a wide range of extraordinary musicians, including long-time band members Tony Levin, David Rhodes and Manu Katché, i/o touring band members Richard Evans, Josh Shpak and Don E, the New Blood Orchestra, Soweto Gospel Choir and Orphei Drängar choir and notable contributions from, amongst others, Mike Elizondo (who co-produces one track) and Abe Rounds.
Like i/o, the album comes with two distinct mix approaches, the Bright-Side Mix by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent and the Dark-Side Mix by Tchad Blake, with Mike Elizondo handling mix duties on one Dark-Side track.
Cover shot is by Nadav Kander and, once again, each song is accompanied by a piece of art. A selection of wonderful images, chosen by Gabriel, to help bring a greater understanding to the music. Artists involved this time are Janaina Mello Landini, Tomás Saraceno, Judy Chicago, Tatsuo Miyajima, Shirin Neshat, Juan Genovés, Roelof Louw, David Altmejd, Francis Alÿs, Tadashi Kawamata, Berndnaut Smilde, Tishan Hsu, and Michal Rovner.
