Double LP version. Britain's The Orb - aka Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann - are one of the most influential electronic acts to grace Kompakt. Okie Dokie It's The Orb on Kompakt is the duo's thirteenth album, and it proves to be a sonic collage of intensive, lovingly-conjured quiet ambience. The first half of Okie Dokie showcases The Orb's love for minimal techno as still as water and schaffel/shuffle, while the second half is reserved for the classic Orb-ish ancestral domain of trance-inducing, pulsating ambience. There are wonderful guest appearances by Schneider TM and Kompakt's ambient-guru Ulf Lohmann.
